Florida is hard on a roof in its own ways. Design wind speeds under ASCE 7-22 run from roughly 130 mph in the Panhandle to about 170 mph in the far southwest. Salt rides the air on both coasts, and aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust. Interlock Roofing makes the roof in North America: aluminum 3105-H24 / 3003-H24 alloy to ASTM B209, roughly 95% recycled content, finished in the Alunar® 70% PVDF coating system, designed and tested to meet AAMA 2605, with a 30-year coating warranty and CRRC-rated colors.
One approval
Florida Product Approval NEMO P.E. Evaluated FL7263-R7 under the 8th Edition (2023) Florida Building Code covers the Shingle/Slate (nail strip and nail tab), Diamond, Shake and Hidden Fastener Tile profiles, tested to UL 1897, UL 580 and TAS 125, with design pressures from −30.0 to −187.5 psf by profile and fastening. It is a non-HVHZ approval, so Miami-Dade and Broward counties are not served.
One installer per project
Metal Roofing Florida certifies independent, Florida-licensed roofing contractors on the system and assigns one to your project. The installer holds the state roofing license, pulls the permit under it, and signs the contract and the workmanship terms with you. Certified means certified by the manufacturer on this system; it is not a state certification.
No borrowed proof
This site publishes no project counts, photo galleries or star ratings, because there is no Florida record to publish yet and another region's roofs would prove nothing about yours. What it shows instead is checkable: the product approval, the evaluation report, the impact listing and the warranty document.

A Florida product approval you can look up
NEMO P.E. Evaluated FL7263-R7 is on the Florida Building Commission's product approval register. It lists the covered profiles, the fastening schedules, the tested standards (UL 1897, UL 580, TAS 125) and the design pressures by profile and fastening. Check it before any metal roof goes onto a Florida deck, this one included.
One product, described accurately
Interlocking aluminum panels with concealed fasteners, locked on all four edges. Aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust, which matters on both Florida coasts. Wind resistance is warranted to 120 mph when installed to manufacturer specification. Class A Fire Rated Available, as a complete assembly over GAF VersaShield (ICC-ES ESR-2053): the classification belongs to the assembly, never to a panel.
Impact-rated, and clear about the scope
The UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating is verified by Intertek for Delta Building Products on the Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake and Mediterranean Tile profiles. The Guardian warranty covers splitting, cracking and perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches; any insurance credit for an impact rating is your carrier's decision.
A material warranty that transfers
The Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty covers material and finish for the original purchaser while they own the home, and transfers once: the second owner is covered to 50 years from substantial completion, if the transfer is registered within 60 days with the $300 fee. Workmanship is covered separately by the installer. Read the exclusions before you sign.

Why aluminum on a Florida house?
