Data Subject Access Request

Interlock Roofing of America is not a “controller” under section 501.702(9), Florida Statutes, but we voluntarily honor the privacy rights below for every visitor to metalroofingflorida.com, wherever you live, and we follow the timelines in sections 501.706 and 501.707, Florida Statutes, so that what we promise matches what the law describes.

1. Rights You Can Exercise

• Confirm and access. Learn whether we hold personal data about you and receive a copy.
• Correct. Fix inaccurate personal data.
• Delete. Have personal data deleted, subject to records we must keep for warranty administration, consent evidence, legal, or tax purposes.
• Portability. Receive the data you gave us in a portable, readily usable format.
• Opt out. Stop targeted advertising (see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information) and stop marketing calls, texts, and emails.

2. Two Ways to Submit a Request

1. Email policies@metalroofingflorida.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” State which right you are exercising and give the name, email address, phone number, and property address you used with us.
2. Web form. Use the Contact page form and select “Privacy request” as the topic. The form is hosted by Zoho and is submitted over an encrypted connection.

You may also call 1-866-733-5811, and we will record the request and confirm it by email.

3. Authentication

Before acting, we verify that the request comes from the person the data is about. We match the details you supply against our records and may ask a follow-up question that only the requester could answer, for example the approximate date of your quote request. We do not ask for government identification. If we cannot verify a request, we will tell you and explain what else is needed. An authorized agent may submit a request for you if they provide your signed permission.

4. Timing

We respond within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request. Where reasonably necessary because of the complexity or number of requests, we may take one extension of a further 15 days; if so, we will tell you within the initial 45 days and explain why. Opt-out requests are processed within 15 business days.

5. Cost

Requests are free up to twice in any twelve-month period. If further requests are clearly excessive or repetitive, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline, and we will explain the reason.

6. Appeals

If we refuse a request in whole or in part, you may appeal within 60 days of our decision by emailing policies@metalroofingflorida.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” A different person from the one who made the original decision will review it, and we will answer in writing within 60 days with the reasons. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Florida Attorney General’s Office (Department of Legal Affairs) or the privacy regulator in your state.

7. Data Held by Your Installer

Once your quote request is passed to the assigned certified installer, the installer holds its own copy under its own privacy practices. We will forward a deletion request to the installer on your behalf, but the installer’s handling of that request is its own responsibility.
